La Meleria was born with a new concept of hospitality. La Meleria is the possibility to spend few days surrounded by the orchards of the farm. There you will be able to get to know all the production processes, to walk or to bike in the apples orchards, or to simply relax in a pristine environment where nature, silence and apples will be the protagonists of your days!

The Territory

La Meleria

La Meleria is located in the heart of Val di Chiana, a key location that will allow you to reach easily interesting cities from an historic and artistic point of view, beautiful natural spas and exclusive shopping centers.


Monte San Savino: worth visiting are the Cassero, Monte e Logge Palace, Sant'Agostino Church. Monte San Savino's porchetta is a must taste, it's celebrated during a big fair in September.

Lucignano: the only village in Europe known for its oval shape, with almost concentric rings that culminate in the upper part where you can find the town hall and the main church: the Collegiata. Within the most famous events: the Maggiolata, a flowery floats parade.

Arezzo: located on an hill, is surrounded by Casentino, Valdarno and Val di Chiana valleys. Its symbol is Piazza Grande, where you can find the Palazzo delle Logge, work of Vasari. Near Piazza Grande, there is Corso Italia, the main street and in Via XX Settembre you can find Giorgio Vasari's House. You should visit the cathedral, the Petrarca's house and the Fortezza Medicea, which has at its feet the greenest area in Arezzo, the Prato. The highlights of the event is the widely known Saracen joust.

Cortona: beautiful Etruscan small town, rich in museum and palaces that give onto the Piazza Signorelli. Our suggestion is to visit in the nearby the Farneta Abbey and the Chiesa della Madonna del Calcinaio. Within the events: the Giostra dell'Archidado in May.

Montepulciano: erected alongside a narrow limestone peak, at 605mt above sea level, it's famous for the Vino Nobile and the Bravìo delle Botti, an event that takes place in August. We suggest to visit the Cathedral and San Biagio church.

Montalcino: pleasant small village known for wine production, the most famous one is Brunello di Montalcino. Sant'Antimo is worth visiting as one of the most beautiful Benidictine abbey in Italy.

Pienza: the birthplace of Enea Silvio Piccolomini, better known as Pope Pius II, who put the redistribution of town planning into the hands of Bernardo Rossellino. Nowadays, Pienza is one of the highest example of architecture. Widely renowned for its Pecorino di Pienza cheese.

Siena: the city rises up on three hills, it's crossed by wide boulevards and narrow alleys that guide to the heart of the city: Piazza del Campo with the widely renowned Torre del Mangia and all the others buildings of cultural appeal such as the Cathedral and Santa Maria della Scala and its museum. The Palio that take place in July and August in Piazza del Campo is world-renowned.

Casentino: it is one of the four main wide valleys dividing the province of Arezzo, it's definitely the most evocative and rich in history and culture. It has got an approximately oval shape and it is varied in landscapes, from large forests in its mountains areas to flat and hilly areas in the valley floor.
